"In the attempt to doubt, which is connected with a thesis (...), the out-of-circuit is realized in and with a modification of the antithesis, and precisely in the "hypothetical position" (Ansetzung) of the non-being, which then forms the complementary basis of the attempt at doubt. "[...]
The empirical data, its measurement and classification through the models of applied science, constitute our almost absolute cognitive perspective, within which we move and recognize each other. The applied science claim of unequivocal constitutes our shared conviction of the knowledge of reality, risking to extinguish our critical sense and the ability to transcend reality.
Tentativo di dubbio starts from these assumptions, looking at the objective of a cognitive aporia, defining an incubator of dialectical meditation towards the interiority of being. It is a process in which the given reality, and the judgment are placed between brackets, out of circuit.
Tentativo di dubbio has an open and circular form which proceeds failure to failure; it develops in a series of attempts consisting of an audio track and an installation experiment.
The materials used are paper, glass, wax and lead, and are chosen for their physical qualities. These, inevitably, need technical support to develop actions and relationships: pliers, rubber bands, magnets, small electrical equipment.
Between the two parts that compose the work a dynamic of resistances is created, so that the assumptions of one can not be valid in the system of the other. Thus, in a mutual negation, creative suspension and pure materiality, generate an empty space and potential.
Doubt makes it possible to move from one level of knowledge to another, without the obligation to exclude any hypothesis.
The visitor is invited to get lost, to touch and to listen, to relate the material vision with the inner one, in an attempt that is based on a series of repeated failures and a process of interaction, without interruption, among all the subjects involved.
The work consists of three digital voice recorders, on each of which eight tracks are recorded with the eight attempts; visitors can use them almost as if they were audio guides, even if these guides will be used to get lost. Each attempt corresponds to a number, the same as the track on the voice recorder.
A path, metaphysical, material, alchemical and aesthetic, which leaves aside any individual judgment or memory. It creates dynamics of resistence, develops cognitive aporias, destroys any security to open up to infinite possibilities of reality. Putting the doubt as a fundamental disposition for anthropic survival; proposing a flexible, meditative, intuitive and intentional vision.

Through the poetic language of art, the project focuses on some emergencies to arrive at human's interiority.. Didymos activate a reflection on society which, by removing its weaknesses from memory, inevitably generates an unconscious destructive force..
WHEN THE TIGER CAME IN FROM THE CENTER OF MY FEET represents an attempt in which artist and audience find themselves in a mutual condition of instability and fragility. An authentic relationship with the self and the other through art. This is how the work becomes an instrument of investigation, apt to prod the resistance of the artist and the observer, through a failure necessary to develop human potential.
A post-romantic thought, terrified by a visionary warning of a collapsing humanity and planet, which ironizes, in some cases, on the condition of humanity and its historical, political and cultural choices.
